Good for you Mr. Walker. Bravo.
In 2010, Megan Sampson was named an Outstanding First Year Teacher in Wisconsin. A week later, she got a layoff notice from the Milwaukee Public Schools. Why would one of the best new teachers in the state be one of the first let go? Because her collective-bargaining contract requires staffing decisions to be made based on seniority.
First of all, using one example to represent the entire population is extremely faulty reasonsing.
Secondly, Walker is implying that teachers that have been there for more than 40 years or something should be the first to go then? That one teacher (while it is definitely sad) is young and has great credentials, so it will be much more easily for her to find a job.
Moreover, Walker is DOING NOTHING to help teachers. He is taking away the money and rights of the working class to support the massive tax cuts that he is giving the wealthy corporations. Walker makes me so unbelievably angry, he is nothing but a puppet of the Koch Brothers and other wealthy corporations that use their influence to further oppress the working class.
